Miss Bethany - Lead PreK Teacher/ Group Supervisor
.Hello, my name is Miss Bethany I have been working in early childhood education since 2004. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Arcadia University and a Master’s degree in Literacy from Hunter College. I have teaching certifications in both Early Childhood Ed. and Elementary Ed., as well as a Literacy Specialist certification. Out of all of the ages that I have taught over the years, Pre-K is my favorite! 4-year-olds are brimming with curiosity about the world around them. They ask a lot of questions, want to know how things work, and love to experiment. It is a joy for me to be able to support their healthy development as we build a learning community together. I am looking forward to all that this school year holds in store.

Miss Dianne - Assistant Group Supervisor
My name is Ms. Dianne Barton. I have 30 plus years working in childcare primarily in a PreK setting. This is my third consecutive year working in the Pre-K classroom at GLS. I worked here many years ago in Pre-K before I left to pursue other opportunities in childcare for a time. I am happy to be back with the GLS and community. I enjoy spending time with my kids and love going to the beach. I am excited to be working alongside Ms. Bethany and Ms. Kylie! I look forward to getting to know your kiddos and watching them learn and grow! I’m so excited about another school year full of laughter and fun!

Miss Kylie - Assistant Group Supervisor
My name is Kylie Hlay and I am a first-year Pre-K teacher. Although this is my first year in a school setting, I have been a full-time nanny for about 8 years and specialize working with children ages 3 and up. I am also a current student at Penn State University with an Associate’s degree in Education, and I will be graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation and Human Services (RHS) in December 2023. My undergraduate program works to teach students how to provide services to persons with physical, emotional, and/or mental disabilities, as well as teach students multiple professional skills within our field. These skills include advocating for others, assessing one’s needs, conducting educational and other related support groups, communicating with people and other professionals, identifying and using community resources, and resolving conflicts. I am excited to bring the skills I have learned from school and my personal experiences to Green Lane, as well as learn from everyone around me to be able to grow as both an educator and an individual. I look forward to meeting and working with all of the amazing kids, families and staff here at Green Lane!

50 years of learning, playing & growing
“Every child is an artist” ~ Pablo Picasso
Green Lane School is a big advocate of the arts. We believe in our students and their creativity and love sharing that with our community.
Green Lane School holds an annual art show to display the student’s works that they have created on throughout the year. This event is also a fundraiser to help offset the cost of supplies for the art program. The show is opened to the families and the local community.
Green Lane's art program focuses on the process of creating art where children learn to use art materials in creative and responsible ways.
Each child's artwork is celebrated for its unique qualities which encourages the children to create with abandonment.
The Art Show is held every year in the Spring.
